The Yzerfontein Boat Angling Club (YBAC) sits on South Africa's stunning West Coast, where the Atlantic meets a community of skippers, anglers, and sea lovers.
Our slipway opens into legendary waters: the rich snoek grounds, the reefs of Vondeling Point, and Dassen Island — just 9 km offshore and famous for its penguins, gannets, and yellowtail . For decades, these waters have provided food, competition, and stories that bind generations of West Coasters together.

The area around Dassen Island has many blinders and submerged reefs. In particular, the areas to the South, South West and West of the island. Extreme caution should be exercised at all times.
